Megalovania

In 2008, Toby Fox (b. 1991) released a ROM hack called "EarthBound: The Halloween Hack" for the Nintendo role-playing videogame "EarthBound". He wrote a track called "Megalovania" which played during the final boss fight. In 2013, Toby Fox independently developed and released an RPG called "Undertale". In this game, he wrote an entirely original score, except for a new arrangement of "Megalovania". The track would play during a boss fight if players made specific choices. In 2019, the track became popular in meme culture and lingered for months. When I was a freshman in high school, one of my band directors expressed annoyance with everyone constantly playing the melody. He said he would consider reading/playing if anyone made an actual arrangement of the track. I decided to take on the challenge.
