Adrenaline Rush

"Adrenaline Rush" is a short fanfare (approximately 1-minute in duration) for solo horn, applying various extended techniques such as flutter-tongue, hand stopping, glissandi, and rips, as well as exploring different color possibilities on the horn such as the personally-coined term of “extreme stopping”—stuffing the hand deep into the bell. The piece also takes advantage of the horn’s nature of sitting high on the harmonic series by playing various notes of the harmonic series as well as utilizing alternative fingerings to allow access to a microtonal chromatic range on the horn.
